Kick-Off Meeting

The project meeting was attended by all project partners and representatives of PTJ (Project Management Jülich). The Meeting introduced the project and all sub-projects:

• DLR: “Acceleration strategies for the REMix model and evaluation of future scientific questions for models adapted to HPC”
• FZJ: “HPC based analysis and development of relevant kernel algorithms of optimizing models”
• HLRS: “Parallelization and optimization of software for energy system modelling for application to HPC”
• ZIB: “Development and Implementation of mathematical optimization algorithms for energy system models with special adaption to parallel computing environments”
• TUB: “Development and Implementation of mathematical optimization algorithms for energy system models with focus on utilizing block structures”

• GAMS: “Modification and development of the GAMS Software with regards to HPC specific optimization and for complex energy system models”
